My role & process
Finding a way to make it easy for both end users, trainers and students, to get started on the platform and showing them how Other Echo is the a fitting platform for them was the biggest challenge for this project.
Once the brand was established, it was up to me to design the product. Along with the client’s wishes, wants and needs I started sketching wireframes creating flows for the two end-users of Other Echo. Trainers and students. With the wireframes, functionalities and flows in place, I applied the brand identity to the wireframes and designed an MVP with which the client could validate their product in the market and seek investors.
With the new insights it was concluded that the designs needed to be adjusted to have an (actual) MVP developed. It needed to be less visually abstract and every step in the process had to be more simplified. As pretty as it was some people were finding it vague at times. On a weekly basis the designs were improved and delivered to the developers with whom I discussed the technical and visual challenges, while providing all the assets needed via Figma.
